How does the Athens Pass work?
The Athens Pass is a digital prepaid sightseeing pass that gives you access to the top attractions in and around Athens. Purchase a pass online that suits your time in Athens and once you receive the Booking ID via email you can download the Smartvisit app, and set up an account to download your pass to the App to start your adventure. The Smartvisit app willl contain your pass, provide digital guides and maps to get around the attractions and provide you with free self-guided walking tours. Your pass is activated based on your first visit to an attraction. Please note for tickets that do not require a booking, you can only download tickets for attractions unless you are within 200 metres of the attraction.
Will I need to pre-book any of the attractions?
The Acropolis definitely requires a booking in advance, while pre-booking isn't necessary for numerous attractions covered by the pass, a few might offer limited slots or capacity, thus requiring advance reservations. This will be clearly displayed in the app. Comprehensive reservation information can be located on the specific attraction pages under the "Important Notes" section.
Do I get other pass perks?
In addition to providing smooth access to attractions and experiences featured in your pass, you also receive skip-the-ticket line features at some attractions. You will have access to Jrnyz for free which takes you on a self-guided multimedia walking tour - one within the Acropolis and one for outside of the Acropolis that take in interesting areas.
